Latest launch information:29th September 2021
Both of Swanage’s lifeboats were tasked this afternoon to attend a multi agency response to a medical incident in Kimmeridge Bay. Coastguard volunteers from Kimmeridge & St Albans Head, the Coastguard Helicopter, Dorset & Somerset air ambulance and Dorset Police were also tasked to the scene. The lifeboats proceeded at full speed through choppy seas and arrived on scene around 25 minutes after launch. The shore based units were already on scene and had the situation under control. Once it was confirmed that the lifeboats weren’t required they were released to return to station.
