Latest launch information:8th September 2019
Swanage’s d-class inshore lifeboat (ILB) was tasked this evening to join a multi-agency search of the Durlston Bay area. A distressed dog had been reported to Police on the Downs and after an initial search neither the dog or its owner could be found. The ILB was tasked to search Durlston Bay for anything out of the ordinary. A thorough search of the area was carried out along with the volunteers from Swanage Coastguard. After about 45 minutes and with nothing found the search was suspended pending further information. All units were then released to return to their stations.
