Swanage’s inshore lifeboat was tasked to assist with the evacuation of a casualty from Durlston Bay just before midnight. The lifeboat launched and quickly located the casualty and the volunteers from Swanage Coastguard. The casualty was taken aboard the lifeboat, taken back to the lifeboat station and handed in to the care of the ambulance service. The lifeboat was then rehoused, washed down, refueled and the crew returned to their beds.
