Latest launch information:25th August 2019
The inshore lifeboat was requested to launch following reports of a collision between two boats close to Swanage Pier. The lifeboat launched with its volunteer crew and was alongside the vessels involved a few minutes later. It transpired that one boat had been dragging its anchor and had been taken alongside by the second vessel, with no damage or danger to people. After explaining the situation to the UK Coastguard the lifeboat returned to station to be made ready for further service.
