Latest launch information:10th November 2019
Both Swanage lifeboats were tasked by the UK Coastguard to carry out a local search after clothing and flowers were found on the beach.
Both boats launched in fading light and the inshore lifeboat joined the Swanage coastguard volunteers, who were searching the beach, northwards, from the Mowlem. The all-weather lifeboat conducted a search around the pier and moorings. With nothing found so far the search was extended beyond the beach to include the cliffs to Ballard down and two white parachute flares were used to help the searchers. Again nothing was found, but the UK Coastguard were happy that the area had been adequately covered and the search assets were released to return to station.
