Latest launch information:6th November 2017
Both the Swanage Lifeboats were in action today to assist in a multi-agency search for a missing person. Police were concerned for the person’s welfare and the lifeboats were requested to search between Dancing Ledge and Kimmeridge. The lifeboats launched and proceeded to Dancing Ledge at best speed. However as the lifeboats approached the start of the search area information was received that the missing person had been found safe and well by Dorset Police so all units were stood down to return to station.
