'Phyl & Jack' goes off for refit
Our hard working inshore lifeboat D-752 ‘Phyl & Jack’ has been taken away today. Roughly every 3 years the RNLI’s D-Class lifeboats go back to our Inshore Lifeboat Centre (ILC) in Cowes, Isle of Wight for a refit. Once RNLI Transport delivers the boat to ILC it will get stripped down, given a thorough check over and then re-assembled. The whole process takes around 2 weeks.
In the meantime we have D-750 ‘Yeoman of the Guard’ from the RNLI’s relief fleet.
